Park Avenue Playground

The Park Avenue Playground program was established in 2002 and operates Monday through Friday from 9AM to Noon, for Tyrone Area School District elementary age children.    The program is free and offers a daily craft activity, exercises and snacks, all organized by the playground leader.  Visitors such as Steamer, Tyrone Police and Vilo, Tyrone Fire Companies and many more also visit the playground.  The playground ends each summer with a pizza party.

The playground is open from dawn to dusk, until the snow flies.  Supervised activities only occur during the summer months, Monday through Friday, 9AM-12 Noon.

This program is sponsored by the Borough of Tyrone.  No registration is necessary.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Borough offices.

The 2010 Park Avenue Playground Program begins June 14th and runs until August 27th.
