The Tyrone Borough Police Department is located at the rear of the Tyrone Municipal Building at 1100 Logan Avenue, Tyrone.  The Borough currently employs five full-time officers, including the Chief, as well as a poll of  part-time officers,  to patrol the Borough.  The Police Department also has two officers as part of our Bike Patrol.  The Department engages in community oriented police practices and prides itself on providing services to the residents.

The Chief of Police is John R. Romeo.

PARKING ENFORCEMENT  

The Borough now has a full time Parking Enforcement Officer.  Mr. Ozechoski monitors parking meters in the downtown area as well as other parking issues throughout the Borough.

Parking meter rates are as follows:
  • 6 minutes for .05
  • 12 minutes for .10
  • 30 minutes for .25 
Meter parking is enforced Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, except on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
